Peter Potrykus joined Kennedy in June 2007 as a Vice President on the Asset Management team in the Washington, D.C. office. He has over 28 years experience
managing all types of commercial real estate.
Before joining Kennedy, Mr. Potrykus was a Senior Vice President with KBS Realty Advisors where he was responsible for managing the company's investments
in the Mid-Atlantic and the Southeast. While at KBS, he handled the asset management for a portfolio of over 2 million square feet of office and industrial
properties and was actively involved in acquisitions and dispositions in his region.
Prior to KBS, Mr. Potrykus enjoyed a 20-year career with John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company and its various real estate subsidiaries where he managed
all types of commercial real estate from investment grade and separate account assets to distressed and foreclosed properties. As Senior Investment Officer
in its Real Estate Investment Group, he was responsible for a portfolio of office, industrial, multi-family, retail, and hotel properties, which was in excess
of $475 million and included many of Hancock's large high-profile assets. Mr. Potrykus was also responsible for providing asset management services to John Hancock's
two largest foreign institutional partners on properties that had an overall investment value of over $200 million.
Mr. Potrykus earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from St. Mary's University, Halifax, N.S. and his Master of Science degree in Management for
Lesley University, Cambridge, MA. He holds a Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.
