Mark Reinikka joined Kennedy in January 1989 and has spent his entire
professional career in institutional real estate as part of Kennedy’s
Asset Management group.
During his tenure at Kennedy, Mr. Reinikka has been responsible for
overseeing the development and management of office, industrial, retail,
and multi-family properties in 18 major metropolitan areas. He has led
asset management teams responsible for more than 9.1 million sf, completed
acquisition underwriting, due diligence, disposition assignments, and had
primary responsibility for the negotiation of several complex loan
transactions.
Mr. Reinikka is a LEED Accredited Professional, having demonstrated to
the U.S. Green Building Council a thorough understanding of green building
practices and principles and familiarity with LEED requirements, resources
and processes. He has also been awarded the CPM designation from the Institute
of Real Estate Management.
Mr. Reinikka received a BBA degree in finance in 1988 from the University of
Alaska–Fairbanks, where he co-captained the NCAA Division I hockey team and
earned academic all-conference honors. He served as an intern at Kennedy Associates
prior to completing his studies, providing analytical support to the Acquisition and
Asset Management teams. Mr. Reinikka remains involved with Kennedy's internship program,
which has produced nine full-time employees since its inception in 1988.
