Kely Chipman joined Kennedy in 2002 and is a Vice President in the acquisitions group.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Chipman was employed by Foulger Pratt Development,
a Real Estate Developer in the Washington, D.C. area as a financial analyst and
development project manager.
As an analyst he underwrote future acquisitions and development projects. He also
participated in the due diligence process and assisted in securing financing. His
experience includes working with the following types of properties: office, medical-office,
industrial, hotel, senior-living and multi-family.
As a project manager he worked on the Downtown Silver Spring Redevelopment Project valued at
over $360 million. His responsibilities included, developing public/private budgets, managing
design consultants and contract administration.
Mr. Chipman received a BS degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University and
a Master of Real Estate degree from Johns Hopkins University.
