Joshua Gurnee joined Kennedy in 2000 and is a Vice President in the Asset Management group, specializing in multi-family assets. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Gurnee spent three years as an Acquisitions Officer, completing transactions valued at $427 million. Before his move to Acquisitions in 2005, Mr. Gurnee was an Asset Manager with portfolio responsibilities that included office, industrial, and apartment projects.

Prior to joining Kennedy, Mr. Gurnee was a contributor to the University of Washington’s Campus Master Plan and was a planning intern for the City of Tukwila in association with Sound Transit’s light rail project. Before college, Mr. Gurnee worked with his family’s construction company building speculative and custom homes in the Seattle area.

Mr. Gurnee completed his graduate studies at the University of Washington in 2000, receiving a Master of Urban Planning degree with a specialization in Real Estate Development and concentrating in Urban Design. In 1998, Mr. Gurnee received his BA from Fairhaven College at Western Washington University, completing a multi-disciplinary degree in Urban Development and a minor in Business Administration.

Mr. Gurnee is a Steering Committee member of Seattle’s Pike/Pine neighborhood association and is a Board member and past President of the Pike Lofts Condominium Association.
