Joshua Gurnee is a Vice President in the Acquisition group specializing in multi-family assets. Mr. Gurnee’s current responsibilities include overseeing the development of a 700+ unit high-rise residential project in Downtown Seattle as well as pursuing acquisitions opportunities with a national scope and a Pacific Northwest focus. Prior to his move to Acquisitions in June 2005, Mr. Gurnee was an Asset Manager with portfolio responsibilities that included office, industrial, and apartment projects in markets including Seattle, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Fort Worth, and Chicago. Mr. Gurnee originally joined Kennedy in November 2000 and worked as a Senior Financial Analyst through June 2002.

Prior to joining Kennedy, Mr. Gurnee was a contributor to the University of Washington's Campus Master Plan and was a planning intern for the City of Tukwila in association with Sound Transit's light rail project. Before college, Mr. Gurnee worked with his family's construction company building speculative and custom homes in the Seattle area.

Mr. Gurnee completed his graduate studies at the University of Washington in 2000, receiving a Master of Urban Planning degree with a specialization in Real Estate Development and also concentrating in Urban Design. In 1998, Mr. Gurnee received his BA from Fairhaven College at Western Washington University, completing a multi-disciplinary degree in Urban Development and a minor in Business Administration.

Mr. Gurnee is a Steering Committee member of Seattle's Pike/Pine neighborhood association and is a Board member and past President of the Pike Lofts Condominium Association.
