Jim Landau joined Kennedy in July 2002 as an Asset Manager for the Multi-Employer Property Trust (“MEPT”). He has over 25 years of real estate experience in valuation, property tax, and asset management. Mr. Landau is responsible for many of the company’s investments in the New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. markets. These investments include office, industrial, residential, and mixed-use properties that range from stabilized to new construction and pre-development. He oversees leasing, property management, and construction. He participates in the underwriting of acquisitions and has overseen the disposition of several properties.

Prior to joining Kennedy, Mr. Landau was a Vice President and Managing Director at Riggs & Co. where he also worked with the MEPT. He ran a portfolio encompassing over 3 million square feet with an asset value of over $400 million. His markets included Southern California and New York. He then helped to transition the management of MEPT from the trustee to the advisor as a charter employee of Kennedy's Washington, D.C. office.

He began his career at Cushman & Wakefield Management Services Group and has held positions with Colliers Pinkard and PricewaterhouseCoopers as Manager of Tax and Legal Services.

Mr. Landau earned his BS degree at Boston University in 1978. He is an MAI Member of The Appraisal Institute.
