Ms. Thornton joined Kennedy in 2002 with primary responsibility in prospecting, underwriting and structuring hotel investment opportunities throughout the United States. Prior to her role at Kennedy, Ms. Thornton was Vice President of Acquisitions and Business Development for Noble House Hotels & Resorts, a privately held company focused on owning, operating and re-developing independent hotels and resorts. Her primary responsibilities included sourcing and negotiating acquisitions, seeking debt for the company's real estate assets and asset management of existing hotel properties.

Prior to joining Noble House Hotels & Resorts, she worked as a Development Manager in the Development and Acquisitions Division at Westin Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. She has also appraised numerous hotels, resorts, clubs and office buildings in the Western Region of the United States during her tenure as a consultant at PKF Consulting in Los Angeles.

Ms. Thornton has a degree in both International Business and Marketing from American University in Washington, D.C.
