Gordon J. Ahalt joined Kennedy as a Senior Vice President in 1998. His primary responsibility
is the identification, underwriting, structuring, and closing of joint venture development partnerships
with public real estate companies.
His previous professional history includes 34 years of diversified corporate finance and real estate investment,
development, management and brokerage experience. He has been directly involved in the acquisition, development,
and disposition of over 5.5 million square feet of commercial property and over 9,300 acres of land. He has completed
over $3 billion of project secured financing.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ahalt was the Senior Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield of Washington, Inc.
From 1989 through 1995, Mr. Ahalt was the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Portfolio Management for
Bechtel Investments Realty, Inc. in San Francisco. From 1985 to 1989 he was the Controller and Financial
Officer
of Chevron Land and Development Company.
Mr. Ahalt graduated from the University of Denver with an MBA degree and a BS degree in Finance. He is an active
council member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), a member of National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP),
a former member of the National Realty Committee (NRC) and a licensed real estate broker in Washington.
