Christian Gunter joined Kennedy’s Seattle office in June 2004, and is Assistant Vice President, Responsible Property Investing (“RPI”).
RPI is an approach to real estate investment and management that considers the broader social and environmental ramifications of
developing and owning properties beyond traditional investor and fiduciary goals. Mr. Gunter, a LEED Accredited Professional, directs
strategic RPI initiatives aimed at increasing the sustainability of the Kennedy portfolio.
Mr. Gunter brings a strong mix of real estate and public policy experience. While at Kennedy, Mr. Gunter has held positions as a Financial
Analyst on the Asset Management team and Disposition Associate. During this time, he helped direct the disposition efforts of
multiple operating office and industrial properties nationally. Prior to joining Kennedy, Mr. Gunter completed his MPA from the
Daniel J. Evans School at the University of Washington where he focused his study in Real Estate, Economic, and Community Development
through the Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies.
Mr. Gunter holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Studies from Whitworth College and worked in “the other Washington” as a legislative
aide for two Washington state members of Congress. While on the “Hill,” Mr. Gunter worked on public policy pertaining to finance, housing,
labor, energy, and the environment. Christian is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (“ULI”), serving on the Workforce
Housing Task Force and YLG Leadership Team.
