Financial Analyst

We are seeking an energetic real estate professional at our downtown Seattle corporate headquarters. The Financial Analyst assists senior asset management executives by conducting financial analyses, assembling reports, monitoring operations, and implementing actions to achieve expected returns.

Responsibilities

  • A Financial Analyst works on all the business aspects of a 15 to 20 property portfolio located in the western United States
  • This individual's responsibilities will include financial projections and valuations, lease analysis, budget review, credit analysis, and due diligence projects

Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or economics—MBA would be a plus
  • He or she will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be able to work independently, and have demonstrated analytical ability
  • Candidate will be skilled in Excel, Argus, and MS Word
  • One to three years of experience in commercial real estate or finance or equivalent university coursework is desirable
  • The desire to progress to an asset manager position will be viewed as a positive



Research Associate, Chicago

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to help analyze and interpret economic, commercial real estate, and capital markets data and trends. The successful candidate must have strong data management skills, including experience working with Microsoft Access, SQL, and VBA. The primary responsibilities of the associate are to manage information, conduct quantitative analyses and help monitor the real estate property markets in support of the firms existing portfolios and future investments. This position is located in the Chicago area and may involve up to 20% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and manage the firm’s proprietary databases and models that identify various influences on real estate performance
  • Perform real estate market research to support the Firm’s investment management decisions, including portfolio management, acquisitions/dispositions, and property management
  • Conduct market analysis, which focuses on real estate, economic and demographic trends and write overviews that summarize the results of this research

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of one to two years of experience in real estate property market, financial or economic analysis with strong quantitative and computer skills
  • Ideal candidate will have a Masters Degree in Real Estate, Economics, Geography or related field, but unique candidates with a Bachelors Degree may be considered
  • Knowledge the VBA and the SQL query language are required, and knowledge of ESRI ArcMap and/or additional Visual Basic skills are a plus
  • Must also possess excellent verbal and written communication and have a high attention to details
  • A strong knowledge of the Windows environment and Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint and Access is also necessary
  • Demonstrated skill at creative problem solving and deductive reasoning

Portfolio Lease Administrator

We are seeking an energetic real estate professional at our downtown Seattle corporate headquarters. The Portfolio Lease Administrator is responsible for the accuracy and timely delivery of all leasing activity information.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously maintain Leasing Activity Tracking Report (LATR) to reflect accurate information for all leasing activity for every Asset Manager
  • Prepare month-end LATR for review and finalization
  • Coordinate the distribution of all leasing documents to Property Management firms
  • Coordinate the lease abstract process
  • Ensure all month-end leasing statistics and information are accurate and timely
  • Prepare all leasing statistics sections of quarterly Management Reports
  • Prepare leasing statistics reports including ad-hoc requests
  • Work with property management firms to ensure all database attributes, dates, charges, recoveries, etc. are set up consistent with the lease agreement
  • Review monthly verification leasing report
  • Coordinate monthly Leasing Meeting
  • Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing commercial real estate leases
  • He or she will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be able to work independently, and have demonstrated analytical ability
  • Candidate will be skilled in Excel, and MS Word, with experience in MRI a plus
