Brian Urback joined Kennedy Associates in June 2005 as a Vice President, Asset Management.
Mr. Urback came to Kennedy from Housing Resources Group, where he was responsible for management
of its portfolio of 25 downtown Seattle residential and mixed-use properties. Prior to joining
HRG, Mr. Urback was President of Investco Financial Corporation, responsible for overseeing
its portfolio of 1.2 million sf of commercial space and 2,000 multi-family units. He commenced
his professional career at McDonnell Douglas Corporation in Long Beach, California.
At Kennedy, Mr. Urback is responsible for a 4.5 million sf portfolio of office, industrial, and multi-family
assets valued at $675 million located in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix.
Mr. Urback holds an MBA degree from Pepperdine University and a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from
University of Washington. He has been awarded the Certified Property Manager® designation from the Institute
of Real Estate Management (IREM) and is an active member of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development
Association.
Mr. Urback is a LEED Accredited Professional, having demonstrated to the U.S. Green Building Council a
thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and familiarity with LEED requirements,
resources, and processes.
